One On One Discipleship

Just before Jesus ascended to his Father He commissioned His disciples to "go and make disciples of all nations". A disciple of Jesus is one who obediently follows Jesus in every area of life and helps others to do the same. In Timothy 2:2 the apostle Paul described this disciple making process that is to operate in the church: "You have heard me teach many things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Teach these great truths to trustworthy people who are able to pass them on to others".

Pastor Troy has initiated a strategic one to one discipleship program that trains disciples to train other disciples, who will in turn train other disciples. This is the process of multiplication. During this nine week course the disciple takes a series of lessons that cover the essential foundations of the Christian faith. Once a person has gone through the course with their discipler they are then ready to disciple someone else. The awesome thing about this program is that it trains anyone in the body to be a minister to someone else, and through that, they mature and the whole church is strengthened. At it says in 1 Corinthians 12:27, "Now all of you together are Christ's body, and each one of you is separate and a necessary part of it".
